I was hired as a manager over a sales team of 8, and tasked with increasing sales and decreasing turnover. When I started in May the company was at 50% manufacturer quota YTD.  By the end of Dec. 2000, we were at 100% YTD.  I was then asked to design the company's marketing plan for presentation to the manufacturer for 2001, and by following it, we increased total sales by 71% and all but stopped sales rep turnover.

I was hired as Vice President of Sales, responsible for overall team sales goals, as well as my own personal sales quota. Under my direction, my team achieved 110% of their yearly sales quota and I personally reached 130% of my personal quota, earning the number two spot out of fourteen reps in the YTD stack rankings in 1998.  I helped establish and won the President’s Club trip in 97’ & 98’ by achieving 125%+ of my annual sales quota.

I started my career in the office equipment industry in 1982, when I was fifteen years old, through the work-school program. I began as an administrative assistant, helping with the answering of phones, typing, billing, accounts receivable, collections and service dispatching. When I graduated high school in 1985, I was promoted to a Customer Support Representative and was in charge of customer relations after the point of sale.  I trained customers on the proper use of their new copier and facsimile equipment and handled customer satisfaction related issues.  I was also responsible for organizing and teaching product training classes to the sales people.  I eventually went into sales and successfully managed a territory, consistently receiving plaques for meeting quota.  I left to accept a management position. (This company was sold and became part of IKON Office Solutions.)
