I was hired to manage a sales team of 8, increase sales, and decrease turnover. When I started, the company was sitting at 50% YTD Quota with the manufacturer we represented. By the end of Dec. 00, we were at 100%. I was asked to design and write the company marketing plan, to be presented to the manufacturer, and by following it in 2001, we managed to increase team sales by 71%, as well as make a huge reduction in turnover.

I was Vice President of Sales, responsible for managing a team and achieving team goals, and meeting a personal quota. Under my direction, my team achieved 110% of their yearly quota, and I personally accomplished 130% of my personal quota, earning the number two spot out of fourteen sales reps in the YTD stack rankings in 1998. I won the President’s Club trip in 97’ & 98’, by achieving 125% or better of my annual quota. 

In 99’ Technifax rehired me for my former position, but re-titled it as Area Sales Manager.

I started my career in the office equipment industry in 1982, when I was fifteen years old, through the work-school program. I began as an administrative assistant, helping with the answering of phones, typing, billing, accounts receivable, collections, and service dispatching. When I graduated high school in 1985, I was promoted to a Customer Support Representative, and was in charge of customer relations after the sale. I trained the customers on the proper use of their new copier and facsimile equipment, and handled customer satisfaction related issues. I was also responsible for organizing and teaching product training classes to all the new sales people. I graduated to sales, and successfully managed a territory, receiving plaques for consistently meeting my sales quota. I left to accept a management position. (This company was sold, and is now known as IKON Office Solutions.)
