Truly
Affordable SEO &
Web Design
Rates & Terms

I charge 50-75% less for search engine
optimization than my Dallas SEO
competitors. Why? Because I'm one woman, working from home
(usually in my PJ's). I don't have executive salaries, secretaries,
account reps, a web design team or optimizers to pay. I'd find a way to charge
outrageous,
unnecessary monthly fees too, if I had that kind
of overhead.
My Dallas SEO and/or
Web Design Fees:
For search engine optimization, internet marketing consulting,
and/or web design I
have a minimum $1,500.00 fee per website and require it paid upfront as a retainer to
get started.

If you just don't have the time or
inclination, or are having trouble getting ranked in the top 10 (1st page),
I offer a set-up and optimization service for $500, which includes Google,
Yahoo & Bing (formerly MSN Live Search), due in advance.
The going rate is $500-$1,000 just for Google set-up
and seo, so it's a deal! I can make no guarantees except that
I'll do my best, because I'm not the search engines. It will be up to you to
provide any photos you want to use, your logo, a link to your YouTube
channel if applicable, information regarding any coupons you want to
advertise, etc., prior to set-up. Any future tweaks or changes you request
will be billed at my hourly rate

General overview
of what's included in my Search Engine
Optimization (SEO) Services:
1.
Keyword Analysis: I start with in-depth keyword
research using the best keyword finder tools. This
allows me to provide you with a comprehensive list from
which to choose keywords that will allow for the greatest
chance of ranking success. Effective search engine marketing requires
targeting phrases that are not only popular, but where the
number of competing sites is not overwhelming. Keyword research
will also
tell us if we need to create
any additional content or pages for your site, based on what
people are looking for. Each product or service you offer
needs to have its own page, linked from the home page via a
text based hyperlink that contains a keyword.
For example, instead of a link to your services page that simply reads
services, you should have a
page for each service, linked from your home page via
keywords, i.e. keyword 1 service,
keyword 2 service,
keyword 3 service and so
forth.
2. Title & Description Tags: I create a unique
title and description tag for
each
page in your site. Your title and description tags
control how your search engine listings read, and are instructions to
the search engines that tell them how to list your pages.
Every page should have a different title and description,
and has the ability to rank on its own, acting as a
doorway through which visitors can enter.
3. Content & Navigation Optimization: I edit your
text to ensure the keywords are being used effectively, and
that your content validates
what is advertised in the title and description tags. This is the stage where I add any missing
SEO elements to your site and set-up the page structure for the
best possible chance of ranking high, including evaluating
and adjusting your internal navigation and making sure your
anchor (linking) text contains keywords.
4. Image Alt Text: I make sure all your images
have alt text. Alt text is substitute text that
displays when an image is missing or when the page is being
viewed with a text only browser. Missing alt text causes
accessibility errors for text only browsers. Search engines
view your site much as a text only browser does, so it is
best to make sure there are no errors. It is
speculated that browser errors can hurt your ability to
rank.
5. Creation of a robots.txt file or meta-tag:
This tells the search engine crawlers which directories and pages in
your site should be indexed and which are private and should
not be served up to the public.
6. Creation of an XML Sitemap: This is not a
sitemap for visitors, but exists just for the search engines. They use
it to learn about the structure of your site and to increase
their coverage of your pages. It helps ensure they can
find and index all the pages in your site.
7.
Search Engine Submission: For new sites that
have not yet been crawled and indexed, I hand-submit your
XML sitemap to the three major search engines: Google,
Yahoo Web Results, and Bing (formerly MSN Live Search). A one-time submission is all
that's needed. A site does not have to be submitted
for a search engine to find it. They find sites all on
their own. Here is what Google says about site submission:
"Inclusion in Google's
search results is free and easy; you don't even need to
submit your site to Google. Google is a fully automated
search engine that uses software known as "spiders" to
crawl the web on a regular basis and find sites to add
to our index. In fact, the vast majority of sites listed
in our results aren't manually submitted for inclusion,
but found and added automatically when our spiders crawl
the web."

Very Important:
You will need to establish backward links. The search
engines see
every link to your site as a vote for your site,
which increases your sites popularity.
Bottom line, the most
important ranking factor is the number of
inbound links a site has.
Link
Building Services:
Some keywords
phrases require thousands or even millions of links to rank. Call
me and I will be happy to explain what it will take to get
your site to the top, based on how many inbound links your
top ranking competitors have. I can show you how to
see this information for yourself for any site, so you just don't
have to take my or someone else's word for it. If you
do need a very aggressive one way link building service, it is still very
affordable in comparison to what most
companies spend for Yellow Pages advertising, PPC
(pay-per-click) or other advertising methods, and is sure to pay
for itself easily when the sales start piling up every month from that 1st
page ranking you'll be sure to eventually have on all three major
search engines.

information and pricing.

backward link building tips.

Frequently Asked SEO
Questions:
-
Should I have my site
designed by someone else and then come to you for optimization?
In most cases I should be able to both design
and optimize your site. This is preferable,
because Optimization starts with web design.
If I think someone else would be a better fit,
I'll tell you and refer you to a designer for a quote
that is someone I trust, and can work with that
understands the basic things to do and not to do
when designing a website that are important to the
sites' chances for ranking well.
Here's a prime
example of why you need an optimization expert to
consult on your design: Keywords should
be used in the naming of your pages at creation and in
the text that makes up the hyperlinks of your sites'
internal navigation. Every page in your website
should be linked to via a text link (not just an image
or button) from your home page, so that it is not
orphaned. Each page URL (webpage address) should include
the main keyword associated with that page. This
is because the URL
is one of the places where the search engine spiders look for keywords.
For example, instead of naming your services page
services.html and linking
to it in your navigation as Our
Services, the web designer should name it
keyword-services-dallas.html
and internally link to it as
Keyword Services... and dashes
instead of underscores should be used to separate the words.
Words separated by dashes are seen by the search engines
as separate words, while words separated by underscores
are seen as run on words. Also, a lot of web
designers have the tendency to overuse graphics so that
they can use cool fonts, embedding important content
that then cannot be read/indexed by the search engines.
-
Once my site has been optimized, how long does it take to
get ranked?
Getting ranked can take anywhere from just a
few days (with existing sites) to 30-90 days or even a year
or more for new sites. It depends on how competitive your keywords
are. Here is some information about Google and the ranking of NEW
websites: Sandbox Filter - The Sandbox theory or Sandbox effect
as it has become known in the SEO world, is a dampening filter
that is applied to new websites. It usually lasts for between
six months and a year from the site's launch date. It's not
unusual for a new website to enter the SERPs (search engine
results pages) for a couple of weeks and then to drop out of the
search engine rankings completely, so if it happens to your
new website - don't panic!
-
Does the Google Sandbox filter really exist?
The Sandbox theory seems to be particularly apparent when a
website's keyword phrases are fairly high profile and
difficult to optimize for, such as playstation games, personal
loans, search engine optimization, credit cards, SEO, etc.
Although the sandbox effect is more obvious on a website
with products and services with high traffic volume key phrases, it
seems that most sites appear to suffer from the Sandbox
effect to some extent, irrespective of the keywords or the
number and quality of incoming links from other websites. Although the Google sandbox effect is merely a theory, it is a
theory that 75% of webmasters and search engine optimization
professionals believe is a filter in the Google algorithm.
The sandbox filter would appear to be designed to discourage
spam websites, short term websites and to put short term link
renters out of business. If your site is new and
doesn't rank for highly competitive keywords, it may solely
be because other websites are more established in the search
engines. For example, they have a higher PageRank, more
inbound links, more content, etc. Therefore, you should put
effort into backward link building and content optimization.
Eventually, you will see your website rise in the ranks.
-
How long does a site stay optimized?
The type of optimization I do, which is organic, on-page
optimization, lasts forever. It is setting up the site's
STRUCTURE to have the best chance of ranking high. Usually
once a site starts ranking well, it stays there and doesn't
require continual work (contrary to popular belief -
based on my experience) ... maybe just some tweaks to
the meta-tags and page content a couple times per year. This
does not mean though, that you do not need to do anything else
to help your site rank high and stay ranked high. Read this
article on
Off-Page SEO for other things you can do to help
promote your site in the search engines.
-
other seo companies are telling me I
need monthly
MAINTENANCE to keep MY
site optimized, is this true?
No, not usually. Once I optimize a site
it tends to continue to do well without constant
maintenance. I have tons of clients that will
verify this fact. I do though HIGHLY
recommend doing the things I mention in this article on
Off-Page SEO. It is
not a complete list
though... That I will email to you after you hire me.
